I recently attended the D23 Ultimate Fan Event and was able to attend the Horizons Disney Experiences Showcase where they made some really incredible announcements about what is coming for the Disney Parks and cruises all around the world.
In this article, I want to highlight the announcements for Disney Cruise Line. There was a very surprising announcement that shocked the crowd!
First up, we learned a little more about the upcoming ship, the Disney Destiny.
Your favorite Greek gladiator will take center stage onboard the Disney Destiny in an all-new, Broadway-style show, “Disney Hercules” when the ship sets sail in November 2025. We got to experience a sneak peek live performance from the show and let me tell you, it was electric!
Beyond spectacular shows, the Disney Destiny will have entertainment experiences around every corner. You’ll never know where you might encounter characters, live music, interactive performances, game shows and more!
From the all-new “Pride Lands: Feast of The Lion King” dining experience to a variety of shows, meet-and-greets, and special appearances by your favorite heroes and villains, a legendary cruise vacation awaits.
Find your hero’s welcome onboard the Disney Destiny when it sets sail in 2025!
We then got a look at concept art for the new Moana show that will be featured on the Disney Treasure. It looks simply spectacular. As a big Moana fan, I can’t wait to see this one!
The Disney Treasure sets sail later this year. Let us know if you would like to sail on this new ship!
Lastly, is the big announcement that had all of us just plain flabbergasted! Disney has not one, not two, not three, but FOUR new ships on order!
That’s four new ships in addition to the ones that have already been announced! This means by 2031, Disney will have a total of 13 ships in their fleet. Wow!!
We at Embrace the Journey Travel absolutely love Disney Cruise Line and believe their product is top-notch and a wonderful vacation for families, couples, and friends alike.
We are so very excited about these new plans for the fleet and for amazing onboard experiences.
We would absolutely love to help you plan your next Disney Cruise vacation.
