My name is Angel Waite and I have been a travel professional for almost 7 years. I recently had the opportunity to attend training at Beaches Negril. This training helped me to answer one of the biggest family questions I receive.
When and Where should I travel to Jamaica with my multi generational family?
Jamaica is a great location all year round. It has amazing weather.
- Summer season is June, July and August. This will be the hottest time of the year.
- Hurricane season is June, July, August, September and early October. This time of year could put you in the line of storms so it is important to remember to be flexible with your plans.
- Holiday Season is November and December. These months have amazing weather.
- Fun Season: January, February, March, April and May. These months provide lower crowds and great weather.
Beaches Negril is designed for Multi Generational Families
- Studio Rooms have one king bed and a small pull out or two queen beds.
- One Bedroom has a King bed and a separate sitting room with a pull out bed.
- Two Bedrooms have two bedrooms, one with a King and another with two double beds.
- Three bedrooms have two king rooms with a pullout and also a room with two double beds.
Water Options
Beaches Negril has amazing including one for small children.
- Child pool for ages 2-3 year olds. It is even covered by a sunscreen and has chairs just their size.

- Pirate Island Water Park with many play features for the littles and slides for everyone
- Lazy River
- Beautiful 7 mile Beach has white powdery sands and some of the most beautiful sunsets in the world.
Amazing Dining Options
- The Venetian is a cozy family restaurant that serves delicious Italian cuisine.
- The Mill is the buffet restaurant open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It is a delicious option every day as the cuisine changes each day.
- Stew Fish is a beautiful beach restaurant that serves Jamaican and Caribbean Cuisine. Perfect for sunset dinners.
- Kimonos is a Hibachi grill, the chef’s presentation is as amazing as the food.
- Mariachi sits close to the beach and from some tables you can hear the lapping of the ocean waves. The food is Mexican style cuisine.
- Bar.B.Q is a quick service option with barbeque favorites and Jamaican patties.
- Café De Paris is a great option for Crepes for breakfast as well as specialty coffee. They serve delicious pastries and ice cream all day.
- Soy is a Sushi lover’s heaven. They serve amazing sushi.
- Dino’s Pizza is for those who want pizza for a poolside lunch or dinner in your room.
- Yo Yo’s for your family to have as much frozen yogurt as they can eat.
Children’s Activities
Al nannies and Kids Camp staffers are members of the International Nanny Association. To receive this accreditation the nanny must meet the minimum requirement of 2,000 hours of child-care services.
- Autism Certified: Beaches nannies are Autism Certified. They create a program for your child based on their needs. You can also request them to assign your child a special buddy for a few hours or the entire time you are on property. They will work with you to ensure that your child has an amazing trip.
Kids Clubs
- Infant Program: Children ages up to 24 months. Your baby will be kept in a climate controlled environment with everything they need. Strollers, cribs, high chairs.
- Please bring the following:
- Diapers and Swim Diapers
- Baby Wipes
- Rash Cream (if necessary)
- Formula and Bottles
- Baby Food
- Change of Clothes
- Comfort Toy (if necessary)
- Sunscreen

- The Toddler Program is for 3 to 4 year olds. Some activities your child can participate in are shell collecting, puppets, face painting and much more. Children must be potty trained to participate in this program.

- Baby Formula (if necessary)
- Sippy Cups
- Pacifiers (if necessary)
- Please bring the following:
- The Navigators Program is for 5-7 year olds. They can have so much fun between Beach Science, Beach Olympics, games, crafts and more, your children will enjoy every minute of their day.
- The Adventures Program is for 8-10 year olds. Your “not quite tweens” can let free of their energy and have so much fun with adventurous programs that include scavenger hunts, beach soccer, reggae jam fest and more.

- Tweens Program is for ages 11-14 year olds. These kids can have fun with Karaoke, water sports, beach volleyball and more. So much fun for your tweens.
- Teens Program is for ages 15-17. Teens have their own ideas of what they do on their vacations This program allows them to hang out, as well as beach volleyball, beach soccer, talent shows and disco dances. Something for even your most picky teen.
- Private Childcare
- Childcare centers are open from 9am-9pm. If you would like childcare after hours then Beaches has nanny’s that will come to your room. Cost is $20 per hour from 8-11 pm and $25 from 11pm to 8am. There is also a $20 after hours fee. This is perfect for you to have a private dinner and a beautiful stroll along the beach.
Weddings
Beaches provide amazing views and atmosphere for the perfect destination wedding. Your wedding or retirement ceremony can truly be a family affair.
- Beautiful Venues: A Garden Gazebo or the Beach at Sunset, there are options to make your day special.
- Amazing Food: Beaches have fabulous food and do an awesome job catering for your special day.
- Family: Beaches provides the ability to integrate blended families into the wedding.

- Club Mobay – This provides personal assistance through customs as your family enters and exits the country.
- Private Transfers although Beaches offers free transfers, I would suggest a private transfer for ease and convenience.
- American Dollars are accepted no need to exchange dollars
- Bring Bug Spray
- Sunscreen – The Jamaican sun is hot so be sure to bring a good sunscreen for your and your loved ones.
- Tipping: Tipping is included with your room cost with Beaches, so a simple thank you will make them very happy. However, private drivers or the shuttle drivers are not included in the tipping so please tip them for their services.
