It’s time for the last destination on Joy’s European Adventure, Disneyland Paris!
We left the city of Paris in the morning and it was about a 45 minute drive to the train station near Disneyland Paris. We used the service they provide where you drop off your luggage at the train station and pick up our documents and go straight in the park (the train station is walking distance from the parks).
Our first day there we visited Walt Disney Studios Park. Currently a lot of this park is behind construction walls. While most of the rides were still available, we didn’t really get a good feel for this park because we couldn’t walk through all the pathways and things. And the main entrance with shops (their “main street”) was closed.
We did still enjoy this park, especially Crush’s coaster, Remy’s, and Avengers Flight Force.
It is a fun little park and you can easily ride everything and see most of the park in 1 day without purchasing Premier Pass Ultimate. We just purchased individual Premier Pass for Crush’s Coaster, Remy’s, and Avengers Flight Force and waited in standby lines for the rest.
We ate lunch at PYM Kitchen and it was soooo good! It’s a sit down buffet and the food was absolutely delicious.
In the late afternoon, we headed to our hotel, Hotel Cheyenne. It’s a fun “old west” themed hotel. You can meet Woody and Jesse in the lobby and the rooms are western Toy Story themed. This hotel feels like a Value hotel to me. It was comfortable and clean and we enjoyed it.
We had purchased the Half Board meal plan (breakfast and lunch or dinner each day) so we ate dinner at Chuck Wagon Cafe. It was “barbecue” themed and quite good!
Then it was time to relax a bit and hit the hay.
The next day we ate breakfast at Chuck Wagon Cafe and it was great. Once again, it was included with our meal plan.
You can’t go wrong starting your day with Mickey waffles!

Then it was time to head over to Disneyland Park! The entrance to the park is really beautiful. The newly renovated Disneyland Hotel sits right on top of the park entrance gates and there is a lovely garden type area in front of the hotel.

Once inside, you’ll see the familiar train station and then enter Main Street. We just happened to come in the park as the parade was happening. It’s such a cool parade!
After the parade, we went to our lunch reservation at Walt’s – An American Restaurant. This is such a neat experience, as you are actually dining on the 2nd floor of Main Street, so you can look down over Main Street. The inside is themed for late 1800’s and is very nice with stained glass and lots of pictures of Walt and Lillian. The food was yummy as well!
We explored Main Street and the castle and the area in front of the castle. There are a lot of whimsical metal sculptures of different characters in front of the castle, that were fun to find. It’s such an amazing castle! We even got to go inside and up to the 2nd floor where they have the Sleeping Beauty story told in stained glass. And then you can go out on a 2nd floor balcony. It was so fun and different to be able to actually go in the castle.
And then the moment I had been waiting for! We ventured under the castle to view the dragon. What an incredible feat of Imagineering!
We spent the day riding rides and exploring. For this day, I purchased the Premier Pass Ultimate so we could ride everything we wanted to ride and not stress about lines. I am really glad I did that and I feel for this day it was worth it.
Disneyland Park is a beautiful park to explore. One of my favorite areas was Adventure Isle with its pirate ship and skull rock.

We rode Phantom Manor, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Indiana Jones (a roller coaster!) and so much more. Here are some of my favorite pictures.
As the sun was setting, it was time to head to our special viewing spot for the nighttime spectacular. I paid for the reserved seating and I’m so glad I did. We had a front row view of the show!
I so enjoyed the little drone show themed around the Main Street Electrical Parade as well as the actual nighttime show.
Sadly, it was time to leave the park. Mickey was there to say goodnight and it was so fun to wave goodbye to him.

The next morning we ate our last breakfast at the hotel (included with our meal plan) and then it was time to pack and head to the airport.
The end of our adventure.
It was such an incredible trip and we would really love to help you plan your own adventure, whether it’s London, Paris, Disneyland Paris, or any other destination in the world.
