Are you ready for a very happy celebration? I know I am! Beginning May 16, 2025, Disneyland Resort will start celebrating its 70th anniversary with a brand new attraction, special food and merchandise offerings, the return of beloved entertainment, and more! Here are a few of the things we can look forward to during this celebration.
Who is ready to see Mickey, Minnie, and friends in some new outfits? Disney gave us a sneak peek at their celebration attire, and it is so happy and colorful!
And with those colorful outfits comes a brand new cavalcade! “The Celebrate Happy Cavalcade” at Disneyland Park will feature familiar friends and even some that we are not used to seeing in Anaheim, like Duffy and ShellieMay.
Disney has also shared concept art for some stunning decorations that will be featured throughout the resort. Peep that gorgeous medallion on Sleeping Beauty castle!
And if all of that wasn’t enough, we will get to enjoy some enhanced magic on attractions such as Miguel and Dante on It’s a Small World and some special new graphics on Toy Story Midway Mania.
And then, of course, there is the brand-new attraction that we are all excited about, which will open a little bit later on July 17, 2025. We will soon be able to experience “Walt Disney – A Magical Life” on Main Street in Disneyland Park. Guests will get to hear all about Walt Disney’s life from the man himself (aren’t the Imagineers incredible??).
