We wrapped up our summer in Paris, and went full-on tourists in the very best way! Picture baguettes in hand, boulangerie stops at nearly every corner, and they check off every landmark on their list. Windmills, the Eiffel Tower, the Mona Lisa, Notre Dame, Sainte-Chapelle, Invalides- and of course, squeezing in extra croissants whenever we could (because when in Paris…).
For this stretch of the trip, I was determined to let the boys soak in every moment. I leaned on one of my favorite suppliers, Family Twist, which specializes in making Europe engaging for kids.
Day one set the tone: we met with an incredible artist who brought Monet’s water lilies to life. She walked us through his techniques, then welcomed us into her studio to see her work and try painting in his style ourselves… snacking on croissants while we painted, naturally. It was such an immersive and personal way to experience Paris beyond the museums, and kept everyone
interested!
The days that followed were just as magical. We rolled up our sleeves for a croissant-making class, where the boys proudly shaped their own dough and learned a few secrets behind French pastries. Then came a private Louvre tour with a scavenger hunt and prizes. Instead of dragging them through galleries, they were racing ahead, eager to solve clues and spot details most adults
would overlook.
Looking back, Paris was the perfect finale to our summer: art, food, history, and plenty of fun woven together. If Paris is on your list, I’d love to help you plan a trip that blends culture and play in just the right mix
