The Holiday Season begins at Universal Resorts Orlando from Nov. 22 to Dec. 31, 2024.
The holiday season at Universal Resorts Orlando is an enchanting time of year filled with festive cheer, thrilling attractions, and magical moments for the whole family. Whether you’re visiting for the first time or returning for another holiday season, Universal Orlando offers a variety of exciting experiences to make your holiday getaway unforgettable.
This is one of our favorite events of the year.
These are some of the don’t-miss events taking place.
Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™ –
For Harry Potter fans, the holiday season at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter is an absolute must. The magical land is beautifully decked out for Christmas, with festive decorations adorning both Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade Village. The snow-covered rooftops and sparkling lights add to the atmosphere, making you feel like you’re part of a cozy winter evening in the magical world.
One of the highlights is the stunning projection show “The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts Castle,” which takes place every night. The castle is transformed with vibrant holiday-themed projections, telling the story of Christmas at Hogwarts. The festive cheer continues with special holiday-themed food and drinks, such as hot butterbeer and seasonal sweets.
Grinchmas™
If you love Dr. Seuss and his classic holiday tale, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, you’ll definitely want to see The Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular at Universal’s Islands of Adventure. This live stage show brings the beloved story to life with whimsical costumes, colorful set designs, and of course, a visit from the Grinch himself.
The Grinch’s antics and the antics of his lovable canine companion, Max, make for a hilarious and heartwarming experience. It’s a perfect outing for families with young children or anyone who appreciates the timeless holiday story. Don’t forget to snap a photo with the Grinch after the show—he may be a “mean one,” but he’s sure to put a grin on your face!
Universal’s Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s
Last year, we took Andrea Cassidy’s kids to Universal, and they loved the Parade. Her Kids were mesmerized by the floats in the Parade. Catch larger-than-life balloons floating through the streets of Universal Studios Florida, with appearances by the Minions from Illumination’s Despicable Me and some of your favorite characters from DreamWorks Animation’s Shrek and Madagascar films.
